Abstract

Inclusion through games can be considered a process to atempt different needs of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through greater participation in educational, cultural and community activities. This undergraduate course project identified playful and digital games that can assist in the learning and development of people with ASD. Based on the search for similar systems, a web platform was created to suggest digital games aimed at people with ASD. The interface was evaluated through data collection with 70 participants, family members, friends or people with ASD. The results indicated that the use of digital games is well accepted by people with ASD, as it is less invasive of their personal space, but at the same time it can pose a challenge for therapists, educators, programmers, multimedia designers, creators and developers of concepts and stories. It is concluded that new methodologies can be implemented and generate better human-computer interaction, creating a connection between people and software.
